Together with our partners, we at REWAG supply a large region in the Upper Palatinate and Lower Bavaria with e-mobility and thus actively contribute to CO2 neutrality and the transport transition. As one of the largest municipal utilities in Bavaria in the field of e-mobility, we have experienced a smooth system migration in live operation with Grid&Co and very good cooperation, even with complex issues. Particularly noteworthy is the high level of system robustness, which allows us exceptionally low downtimes and thus ensures stable operation. Thanks to the excellent operating concepts, we were also able to significantly reduce hotline inquiries and sustainably improve the customer experience.
Stefan Sulzenbacher, Team Leader Electromobility | Regensburger Energie- und Wasserversorgung AG & Co KG
Regensburger Energie- und Wasserversorgung AG & Co KG operates charging infrastructure in conjunction with the municipal utilities of Kehlheim, Hemau, Straubing, Bogen and Cham.
In 2023, it was time to select a new charge point management system. The particular challenge here was that not only hundreds of charging stations had to be migrated to the new system, but also thousands of existing customers.
These were partly from REWAG itself, but also from other municipal utilities in the catchment area. The entire infrastructure was migrated within three months. The customers were contacted in parallel and gradually joined the new offer. Gradually, more and more load management scenarios were implemented.
REWAG receives three-weekly software updates, which also incorporate the wishes of the sub-customers.
For more than ten years, we have been developing Gridware, a solution for monitoring, billing and managing charging infrastructure.
