Success in e-mobility through a strong partnership
Energieversorgung Mitteldeutschland AG (EAM) has been a pioneer in the field of e-mobility since 2012. Even back then, the idea of building an infrastructure for electric vehicles was already there. The first subsidized charging stations were installed in 2015. At that time, EAM had to find a solution for billing the charging processes. The system at the time was user-friendly, but unfortunately not particularly flexible. It was particularly important that it could be seamlessly integrated into the control center system. Ease of use for fault clearance was also an important issue.
The search for a more professional solution began in 2017. This is when the collaboration with Grid & Co. GmbH began. In 2018, the decision was made in favor of the Gridware system. Initially, the main focus was on technical integration, as monitoring operations was a top priority. Transparency characterized the cooperation right from the start. Regular coordination meetings and an efficient ticket tool were introduced, which is still very popular internally.
Over the years, the system has been continuously adapted to the changing requirements of EAM. The implementations were always pragmatic and tailor-made.
The close coordination between the commercial departments of EAM and Grid & Co. led to a very successful collaboration. For example, EAM’s accounting department became a big fan of Grid & Co.’s billing system. In addition to smooth technical operation, the automated billing of small-scale charging processes enabled a wide range of possible applications – whether for the operation of the company’s own hardware or as the basis for service products.
Today, EAM is a pioneer in the field of e-mobility. The partnership with Grid & Co. has contributed significantly to this success. This story is not only a success story of e-mobility, but also a story of strong collaboration and innovation.
